COYOTE SUNDOWN words and music by Lenny Solomon

Sun sits on the mountain
ridge
Swirling sands, close to the
ground
Sagebrush blows across the
plains
On its way to
Coyote stares as the stars
come out
He makes his way from the
valley floor
Cautious, climbs to the top
of the rim
Takes a look and start to
howl
Another
Coyote Sundown
A silhouette
on the setting sun
Shadows
stretched on the canyon walls
Seem
to crawl, as darkness falls
Bats are filling up the sky
Coyote wishes he was one
Dreams of soaring through
the air
Playing tag with every one
Every night’s a magic night
Every night an axe does fall
Coyote stalks ‘till he’s
tuckered out
Falls asleep at the break of
dawn
Another
Coyote Sundown
A
silhouette on the setting sun
Shadows
stretched on the canyon walls
Seem
to crawl, as darkness falls
Another
Coyote Sundown
Night
time comes, the moon still low
Stories
told, of ancient past
Were
build to last, built to last
