DRIFTING words

I
knew a man, who with slight of hand
Could
turn the sand, into water
He’d
lead with his chin, but his smiling grin
Would
save his skin, from the slaughter
He
was a hustling man, took what he can
But
his selfish plan, finally nabbed him
Now he’s drifting with the wind
Lord knows how he sinned
He’s just drifting with the wind,
with the wind
He’d
enter a room, like King Neptune
Watch
the ladies bloom, like some flower
His
words were a sword, he wouldn’t be ignored
He
cut and gored, with their power
Thought
his laugh was the last, at history and the past
But
the dye he cast, did prove fatal
Now he’s drifting with the wind
Lord knows how he sinned
He’s just drifting with the wind,
with the wind
I’ve
heard stories told, about the brave and bold
From
times of old, through the ages
They’d
hold off the dark, to leave their mark
Convinced
their bark, made them sages
They
failed to realize, they wore a fool’s disguise
Couldn’t
compromise, with life’s changes
Now they’re drifting with the wind
Lord knows how they’ve sinned
They’re just drifting with the wind,
with the wind
