Fall From Grace words & music-Lenny Solomon

When I was a child, the air
was fresh to breathe
I could do no wrong; needed
nothing up my sleeve
Still I wondered, why
darkness filled my space
And what it meant when others fell from grace
I was floating on a dream,
on the blind side of a road
When I fell in between, so very
far from home
And I wondered, why I lost time and face
When I was told that I fell from grace
Standing on a hill, looking
far away
I can no longer see, nothing
more to say
And I wonder, why I can’t erase
The memory of when I fell
from grace
It’s
a lonely season, when we try to understand
And
nothing falls to reason and nothing goes as planned
All’s been left behind, nothing much ahead
But maybe I should turn; maybe something’s round the
bend
So I still wonder, should I start the chase
And incur the wrath
On the rutted path
In the aftermath
Of when I fell from grace
