SCATTERED
words and music by Lenny Solomon

Scattered thoughts, scattered mind, like a radio, caught between the dials;
Music mixing with the talk, static switching madly, driving me wild;
A thousand circuits crackling loud;
Compete for focus, my head pounds;
My eyes are staring everywhere;
I couldn't stop them on a dare.
I, need to find a way, to live the life I lead everyday.
To manage extremes, so that they don't bind; to create a vision for my time.
Every morning I have pains, that make me bleary, drain my energy;
Got to move them from my space, my eyes are twitching, a severe allergy;
Why do I even care;
Should be no deal that they are there;
But I can't move beyond this spot;
I can't go on, I'm gonna rot.
I, need to find a way, to live the life I lead everyday.
To manage extremes, so that they don't bind; to create a vision for my time.
With no internal sense of time, that has much meaning, keeps me in reverse;
Just reminds me of the toll, my three-ringed circus, has on my universe;
The clowns and chatter never stop;
I hope and pray for one more shot;
Each grain of sand is nearly spent;
I haven't even made a dent.
I, need to find a way, to live the life I lead everyday.
To manage extremes, so that they don't bind; to create a vision for my time.
I wish there was some magic way, to leave this scatter, all in a heap;
A pill that I could easily take, to ease this burden, and get some relief;
But after all is said and done;
I know that I'm the only one;
Who can end this misery;
And learn to cope and be set free.
I, need to find a way, to live the life I lead everyday.
To manage extremes, so that they don't bind; to create a vision for my time.
I, need to find a way, to live the life I lead everyday.
To manage extremes, so that they don't bind; to create a vision for my time.
